This section describes the licensed indications of Naropin (ropivacaine)

Naropin (ropivacaine) is indicated for the production of local or regional anaesthesia for:

Surgery
Acute Pain Management

Surgical anaestheisa

epidural block including caesarean section
spinal block
major nerve block
field block

Acute pain management

continuous epidural infusion
intermittent bolus administration
intra-articular injection
peripheral nerve block
field block

Naropin (ropivacaine) is contraindicated for patients with a known sensitivity to any local anaesthetic of the amide type.

Naropin (ropivacaine) is not indicated for retrobulbar block or obstetrical paracervical block due to lack of clinical data.

Naropin (ropivacaine) is not indicated for IVRA due to lack of clinical experience.
